在澳洲从零开始成为贷款经纪人:MPFG Zero to Hero 培养计划

MPFG Capital — Melbourne Property & Finance Group2026-04-298

What Qualifications Do You Need to Become a Mortgage Broker in Australia?

The barrier to entry is lower than most people think. There are no degree requirements — you simply need two vocational qualifications:

QualificationFull NameCompletion Time
Certificate IVCertificate IV in Finance and Mortgage BrokingAs fast as 1 week
DiplomaDiploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking ManagementApproximately 1 month

Both are VET (Vocational Education and Training) qualifications with flexible assessment formats. Once you hold a Certificate IV, you meet the baseline requirement to apply as an Authorised Credit Representative under an Australian Credit Licence.

MPFG Zero to Hero participants don't need to figure this out alone — we guide you through enrolment and assessment from day one, while your practical training begins at the same time. All certificate costs are covered by MPFG (on cost). You pay nothing out of pocket.

What Is the MPFG Zero to Hero Program?

MPFG Zero to Hero is a structured broker development pathway designed by the senior team at MPFG Capital. It is open to anyone — no prior experience required — and takes participants from complete beginner to independently operating mortgage broker over a 48-month (4-year) journey.

The program runs in two stages.

Stage 1: Industry Entry & Hands-On Learning

Before obtaining your licence, you join the MPFG team as a Loan Writer, working alongside licensed brokers on real client files under full supervision.

During this stage you will:

  • Learn residential, commercial, and asset finance products
  • Master the end-to-end loan process — from client interview to settlement
  • Understand lender credit policies and compliance requirements
  • Begin building your own client pipeline

Monthly checkpoint reviews help you track progress and stay motivated. Candidates who meet the milestones move on to Stage 2.

Compliance note: Loan Writers do not provide independent credit advice. All submissions are reviewed and lodged by a licensed broker, in full compliance with the NCCP Act and Best Interests Duty.

Stage 2: Licensed Broker Mentorship Program

After completing Stage 1, you are onboarded with aggregator Finsure and become an Authorised Credit Representative, operating as a Mortgage Broker under MPFG Capital.

For the next 24 months, MPFG's senior team provides ongoing mentorship:

  • Complex deal structuring and scenario review
  • Compliance file checks and feedback
  • Lender selection strategy
  • Business development and client retention coaching
  • Escalation support for challenging scenarios

By the end of the program, you will have an established client base, a referral network, and the capability to operate fully independently.

Who Is This Program For?

  • Career changers with backgrounds in sales, customer service, real estate, or accounting
  • Recent graduates looking for a structured entry into financial services
  • Chinese-speaking professionals who want to serve the growing Chinese-Australian community
  • Anyone who wants to build a long-term career with recurring trail income
  • People who have explored broking but don't know where to start

Why Choose MPFG Instead of Going It Alone?

Many new brokers get their licence, join an aggregator, and then struggle — no mentorship, no client leads, no one to review their files when something goes wrong.

MPFG doesn't just give you a licence. We give you a system.

MPFG Capital has settled over $700 million in loans across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. We specialise in non-bank lending and have deep expertise serving self-employed borrowers and the Chinese-Australian community. From your first day in the program, you work on real, complex deals — accelerating your growth far beyond what solo study can achieve.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this program open to the public?

Yes. MPFG Zero to Hero is publicly open. There are no referral requirements — anyone with the right attitude and motivation can apply directly.

Do I need to pay for the Certificate IV or Diploma?

No. All certificate costs are covered by MPFG (on cost). You will not pay anything out of pocket for your qualifications.

Will I earn an income during Stage 1?

Yes. As a Loan Writer, you are engaged with MPFG and participate in live deals from the start. Specific remuneration is discussed and confirmed at onboarding.

Do I need to speak English fluently?

There is no English fluency requirement to join. If you are bilingual in Chinese and English, that is a significant advantage — MPFG serves a large Chinese-speaking client base, and demand for Mandarin-speaking brokers consistently outstrips supply.

How long before I can operate independently?

The full program runs 48 months, but strong performers can begin independent deal management as soon as they are licensed in Stage 2. Your pace is driven by your results, not a fixed calendar.

What happens after the 48 months?

You graduate with full independent broker capability. You can continue operating within MPFG Capital or pursue your own direction — the choice is yours.
